Paco Guzmán's original mixed‑media painting Ceniza y abstracción, created in 2020, measures 71 by 77 cm, weighs 6 kg, is from Spain, in an abstract style, and signed on the back.
Description from the seller
Painting done on a board using a mixed-media technique; the base is a juxtaposition of materials such as ash and latex. Subsequently, a layer of epoxy resin is applied and it is painted over with acrylics, and finally another layer of resin is applied and some details are painted. By working in layers, the resin creates a three-dimensional effect.
The finish is glossy, no doubt a different and fresh piece.
The painting is shipped with professional, insured packaging.
It is signed on the back.
Paco Guzmán is an eclectic artist with a long-standing career. He graduated from the Llotja de Barcelona school in pictorial techniques and mural painting. His work is part of private collections in the USA, Taiwan, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Italy. He has participated in various exhibitions at art galleries and has showcased his work at different international art festivals. He also works as a professional caricaturist.
Paco Guzmán, born in 1970 in Ulldecona, Tarragona, is a Spanish graphic artist, painter, and caricaturist. From an early age, he showed a remarkable talent for drawing, creating caricatures of his teachers and classmates. Although he initially was interested in comics, he soon leaned towards impressionist painting and caricature.
In 1992, he began his journey in painting as a self-taught artist, focusing on classical motifs such as still life. Later, he took an artistic drawing course by correspondence, balancing his studies with his work in a furniture factory. His passion for art led him to dedicate himself fully to painting and caricature, creating caricatures of friends and tourists, which allowed him to perfect his technique.
Between 1997 and 2002, he studied at the Esardi school in Amposta, in collaboration with the Llotja de Barcelona, specializing in painting techniques and mural painting. During this period, he left his job at the factory to focus on his artistic studies, supporting himself through odd jobs and his street art.
Throughout his career, Guzmán has developed an eclectic style, combining contemporary painting with caricature. He published the book '901 Caricaturas,' which compiles more than a hundred caricatures of famous personalities, created with various techniques such as acrylic on canvas, digital painting, oil on canvas, and graphite on paper.
Additionally, they participated in exhibitions such as 'Anatomy of Souls and Caricatured Visions' at the Espai Expositiu DeltArt in Deltebre, where they showcased works created during the confinement, reflecting an evolution in their technique and creativity.
Paco Guzmán continues exploring new forms of artistic expression, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the field of painting and caricature in Spain.
