An antique hand mill, for coffee or cereals / table flour or a versatile hand grinder, dating from the end of the 18th century to the middle of the 19th century.

This is a fully wooden device, powered by a side crank, designed for home or artisanal use.

The upper wooden hopper (inverted pyramid shape) receives grain (wheat, rye, barley)
sometimes spices or oilseeds, the contents fall by gravity toward an internal grinding system (grinding wheels or a grooved cylinder, not visible)

The side crank drives the rotation shaft, the grinding elements.
The flour or ground material is collected in a drawer or container placed beneath the device.

This is a pre-industrial system, preceding standardized metal mills.
