Elegant porcelain sculpture – Ernst Bohne & Söhne – Germany
Refined sculpture in glossy white porcelain made by the historic German manufacturer Ernst Bohne & Söhne, based in Rudolstadt and renowned for the high artistic quality and the delicacy of its female figures between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The figure portrays a young lady in an eighteenth-century dress, captured in a graceful yet dynamic pose. The soft, articulated drapery, the rendering of the sleeves, and the delicate expression on the face attest to the high level of technical craftsmanship and confer on the sculpture a notable sense of movement and elegance.
