A collection of thirteen Sherlock Holmes stories first serialized in The Strand Magazine and Collier’s. Marking Holmes’s return after his apparent death, the work revived public enthusiasm for Doyle’s detective fiction. Publisher’s cloth, gilt spine titles dulled, spine chipped and discoloured, extremities bumped, boards marked with ring stain to rear; lacking ffep, binding tender with rear hinge wear, scattered foxing and handling marks throughout.
