A rare and beautiful large glazed ceramic tureen from the Deruta manufactory.

Hand-painted, with a pear-shaped lid knob and handles in the shape of lion heads.

Signed at the bottom: UNKNOWN SYMBOL and the inscription "GRAFFITO E DIPINTO A MANO DERUTA 484"

Length: about 37 cm

Width: about 24 cm

Height to the knob: about 25 cm

In good condition: small restoration with plaster on the lid measuring about 4 x 1.5 cm, small internal chip on the body of the tureen at the rim of about 1.5 cm, very small internal chip of about 4 millimetres at the edge of the lid not visible from the outside (see photos)
