Marein Konijn, Sparkle at the beach, a 2022 oil painting in the impressionist landscape style, signed and delivered framed in a wooden frame with a silver finish, originality edition, produced in the Netherlands and sold directly by the artist, with approximate 60 × 80 cm painting size (65 × 85 cm with frame) and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
This painting centers on the tide line: a subtle boundary between sea and land, captured at a moment when the light defines the scene. The horizon is placed high in the composition, so the light falls mainly on the tide line and the wet shore. The work is painted in backlight, which creates a dynamic interplay of contrasts and a sense of softening at the same time.
In the top left corner sits the lightest point of the painting. From there the light spreads across the surface and the wet sand in the bottom right slowly darkens. In that transitional area a visual tension arises: the viewer may wonder whether a cloud drifts across the beach, or whether it is merely the reflection of the light on the wet sand. That ambiguity invites longer viewing and leaves room for individual interpretation.
The painting is framed in a wooden box frame with a silver finish, which subtly enhances the light in the work and gives the overall piece a calm, timeless appearance.
The painting is signed on both the front and the back.
The framed painting measures approximately 65 x 85 cm, 3.5 cm deep.
The painting is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
