Artist: Pieter Janssen (June 25th 1976), internationally known as Parra.
Object: The work dates from 2009 and was produced during the period of Parra’s solo exhibition at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Parra’s solo exhibition at the Kunsthal Rotterdam marked an important moment in his career, when his work entered a museum context while retaining its strong ties to graphic design and street culture. Works produced during this period are increasingly regarded as formative examples of his early mature style.

The artist’s name is integrated into the design as a plate signature.
Professionally framed in a solid black birchwood frame and acquired through the art gallery Burijn.

Dimensions: The framed dimensions are: 55 × 45 × 3 cm
This work dates from 2009, a formative phase in Parra’s career, coinciding with his solo exhibition at the Kunsthal Rotterdam. During this period, Parra’s practice moved fluidly between autonomous artworks and applied formats such as apparel and graphic design, a crossover that would become a defining characteristic of his oeuvre. Works from this moment are increasingly regarded as key examples of his early mature style.
The print exemplifies Parra’s signature approach, with crisp graphic contours, saturated colour fields and text that functions both visually and conceptually. The artist’s name is integrated into the printed design itself, constituting a plate signature.
Provenance: The work originates from a Dutch private collection and was acquired through the art gallery Burijn, adding a clear and reassuring provenance. The overall condition is excellent.
The piece will be shipped securely from Amsterdam, carefully packed in protective materials. Collection in person is also possible in Amsterdam, Netherlands..
