A Japanese ceramic vase with owl motif, created by Asano Norio, a contemporary Kutani ware artist active from the late Shōwa period.
The surface is decorated with a stylised owl surrounded by layered leaf patterns, rendered in deep blue and green tones.
The design combines hand-carved detailing with expressive glazing, giving the piece a strong graphic presence while retaining a calm, balanced form.
The vase has two small handles on the shoulders and a gently rounded body, making it suitable both as a decorative object and as a flower vase.
It comes with its original wooden storage box, confirming its presentation as an individual work.
A characteristic example of Japanese modern Kutani ceramics from the 1970s–1980s.
Condition:
Good condition. Minor age-related wear, with no visible chips or cracks. Wooden box shows natural aging.
