Large amethyst geode from Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, weighing 10.3 kg with dimensions 23 cm high by 30 cm wide by 16 cm deep, natural and unenhanced, featuring thousands of well-formed crystals and a wide viewing opening.
Description from the seller
This striking large amethyst geode from Ametista do Sul, Brazil, reveals a glittering interior lined with large, well-formed crystals of excellent clarity and a rich, vibrant purple hue. Each point catches the light beautifully, giving the geode a depth and sparkle that makes it a true statement specimen. It features a nice wide opening for viewing and robust sturdy walls packed full of thousands of large crystal points.
Formed over 135 million years ago within volcanic rock, this geode began as a hollow cavity in ancient lava flows. Over time, silica-rich fluids seeped in, slowly crystallising into the amethyst we see today. The result is a natural time capsule — both a display of geological wonder and a collector’s treasure.
Perfect as a centerpiece for a collection, a display in the home, or a teaching specimen, this geode carries with it not just beauty, but deep history. No two are ever the same — making this cavern a unique, one-of-a-kind addition.
