Tete - Hache, a Chontal culture green mottled stone axe head, circa 500 BC, 16 cm high and 14 cm wide, in excellent condition, acquired from Maison de vente aux enchères, Paris, in 1995 and from a private Brussels collection (Lot 133).

Mask
presenting a stylized face: mouth half-open, angular nose sculpted in relief, concave cheeks, hollowed eyes and a bulging forehead forming a visor, casting a shadow across the gaze. The ears are subtly suggested by two linear protrusions.
