The wool of New Zealand sheep is of particularly high quality. It is velvety soft, light, shiny, and has especially long fibers (long-stapled). In rug weaving, it is predominantly used in India and Nepal for especially high-quality and fine carpets. To further highlight the sheen of the wool, natural silk is very commonly used in the carpets. New Zealand wool is dirt-repellent, durable and long-lasting.

Um den Glanz der Wolle noch mehr hervorzuheben, wird sehr gerne Naturseide in den Teppichen verwendet. Neuseelandwolle ist schmutzabweisend, strapazierfähig und langlebig.
