Two ceramic sculptures by artist Henk Mooij.

Henk Mooij (Rotterdam, 1930 – 2015) was a sculptor, ceramicist, monumental artist and spatial designer. He studied from 1949 to 1953 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. His work developed toward outdoor objects, through consciously eclectic work toward conceptual constructivism. In the Rotterdam area and also in his later residence Drunen he produced several wall-mounted sculptures and reliefs in public spaces. He says of his work: 'It consists of shapes in space that are clearly visible as built up from separate components. Through their organization they form a whole as bricks arrange themselves into a wall with a masonry pattern. My forms are geometric, sometimes deformed by external forces such as compression, tension, and gravity.'
