An antique German Frozen Charlie doll, a specific type of all-china bathing doll made without joints between approximately 1850 and 1920.
The name "Frozen Charlie" (or "Frozen Charlotte") comes from a 19th-century folk ballad about a girl who refused to wear a coat to a ball and froze to death.
