Description from the seller
Malìa:
Another rebellious daughter!
It was during the late Victorian era that society began to worry about the arrival of the 'New Woman,' a girl who rejected the idea of being a happy housewife in favor of education, independence, and personal development. A first generation of feminists was slowly emerging. Young, arrogant, and restless women sought further education, travel, and work, as well as fighting for greater rights. Many parents—of both sexes—were unhappy, and a lot of ink was spilled in indignation over what came to be nicknamed the 'rebel daughters'.
Painted with high-quality Italian colors on cotton canvas, mounted on a pine frame. The painting is new. It is signed on the front and back. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. The painting is an oil on canvas. Painted with semi-glossy transparent varnish to protect it from time and UV rays. Fast and secure shipping with tracking in a carefully packed wooden crate with bubble wrap. For shipments outside the European Union and Switzerland, delivery may be delayed by a few days due to customs certification procedures.
