AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Dutch-approved silver matchbox, manufactured from .835 silver, dimensions 5.2 × 3.7 cm, gross weight 30 g, in good condition with minor signs of aging. On the front a Dutch windmill and on the back decorative scrolls and flowers. Truly Dutch craftsmanship. This charming matchbox comes from my private collection and also contains the original matches from Lumen lucifer factory Netherlands. This box is, in itself, a collector's item.

A brief piece of history: In 1895, Hermann Johann Köster founded in Schiedam the
Lucifersfabriek Lumen, which burned down in 1896. The factory was afterwards in the years 1897 to 1899
continued in Amsterdam.
