A Takahira Nagasue Bizen ware stoneware flower vase by Nagasue kiln, Japan, dating from 1970–1980, height 27 cm, width 14 cm, depth 14 cm, in good condition with small signs of aging and blemishes, signed on the base and supplied with its original wooden storage box (tomobako), cloth, and an original description leaflet.

A Bizen ware flower vase by Takahira Nagasue (永末隆平), a potter working in the tradition of classical Bizen ceramics.
This piece features a calm, upright form with natural ash tones and subtle surface variations created through high-temperature firing.
The unglazed surface shows the earthy texture characteristic of Bizen ware, giving the vase a quiet presence suitable for both floral arrangement and interior display.
The vase is signed on the base and comes with its original wooden storage box (tomobako), cloth, and an original description leaflet, indicating it has been carefully preserved since production.
A well-balanced example of postwar Bizen pottery, reflecting continuity of traditional techniques in a refined and understated work.
