Rare and important edition of 1819 of one of the cornerstones of clinical medicine in the 19th century: the treatise on gouty diseases by Paul-Joseph Barthez (1734–1806). Barthez, a famous French physician and founder of the doctrine of 'vitalism' in Montpellier, offers in this work an in-depth and pioneering analysis of gout and related pathologies.
