Description from the seller

Antique Madura kris - Java - Indonesia

Description:
Wilah: 9 luk, heavy pamor kling, really the local type.
Warangka: Capu Ladrang schuit made from valued spotted Timoho pelet wood. This wood was regarded as particularly precious. The curl and the peak are intact, as the detail photos also show.
Ukiran: Donoriko grip, they are regarded as the finest examples of high-quality craftsmanship, but this one is unique because of its stylized form (usually more organic in cut). Also note the distinctive little flower in the 'ears'.
Pendok: Topengan-model sheath, typical for a Madura Kris, but you don’t often see it with that bridge connection on top. There are age-related bumps underneath, but they don’t interfere at all. Brass or lightly silvered.
Mendak: high Ancup randu with fine granulations.

In short: a collector's item.
