Davide Tedeschini (1974) Lotta per la sopravvivenza, 2020, a multicolour original mixed-media artwork with acrylic, oil and collage on wood panel, canvas and furniture fragments, signed by the artist, 145 cm by 140 cm, in good condition.
Description from the seller
A major work completed in March 2020.
Assemblage 'combine' with tempera and acrylic painting on a poplar panel, canvas, and pieces of furniture, with dense colors, finished, weight 10 kg. (photomontage in an exhibition room)
Every part of the work was handmade by the artist, both the support and the colors, created with pigments and glues. It is one of several works sold in Europe.
On the back, in addition to the inscription bearing the title: Lotta per la sopravvivenza ('The War of the Worlds'), the year and the artist's signature. The work can be displayed without a frame and has been properly planed and cleaned.
Abstract paintings that measure more than one meter in width and height are valued very highly, around 800–1500 euros at the latest auctions. Assemblages are rarer.
Other environmental works or assemblages date back to 2010 (Celeste Prize International in New York).
The work is published in AA.VV. Modern Art Catalogue No. 56, Giorgio Mondadori Editorial, 2019, Milan*.
The painting is listed in the General Catalog of Davide Tedeschini's works at no. 702 with the title "Lotta per la sopravvivenza (Guerra dei mondi)", assemblage, 2020.
*The Mondadori catalog is sent free of charge where the work is published, a publication valued at approximately €90 (photo). In the photo the Mondadori entry updated to 2023.*
