I have hiked very often in the Swiss Alps at high altitude near Zermatt, Zinal, Arolla, Saas Fee …
A majestic mountain, the Matterhorn. I wanted to depict its roughness with this painting.

Painted on good quality canvas, painted with professional top quality 'Golden', 'Winsor&Newton' and Amsterdam Expert acrylic paint. Ready to hang. A frame is not needed. The painting will be carefully packaged in plastic between two sheets of mdf to protect the painting, and shipped in a cardboard box.

I like walking in nature, along flower- and tulipfields, along the North Sea coast and the Atlantic Ocean, in polders, heathlands and forests in the Netherlands, The Alps, Pyrenees and rugged mountainous regions in Scandinavia.
Nature is in my mind. That is why many of my paintings are about nature, about landscape.

Unfortunately, in some images you can see the moiré effect, the wavy lines on the image. The moiré effect is caused by photographing the cotton I paint on, its structure. If you zoom in, the effect is usually gone. Information about the moiré effect can be found on the internet.
