Sandra Chinelate presents Sun, an original oil on canvas portrait from 2020 or later, measuring 50 x 60 cm, signed by hand and in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
This painting depicts a girl lying in the sunlight ("sun," indeed), with all its vivid and warm colors. The painting draws on the original photograph taken by the painter herself of her model in her country of origin, Brazil.
Painting measuring 50 x 60 cm, 1.5 cm thick, oil on fine-grain canvas, signed lower left.
Sandra Chinelate works on the physical and existential investigation conducted with the tools of figurative painting. A graduate in the humanities, and as a child a self-taught artist, she moves to Italy and, influenced by her multiple sociolinguistic gaze, conducts her painting research with the aim of promoting an encounter among different social subjects, where people of different ages, skin colors, passions and human perplexities are contemplated from a strong desire on the part of the artist to highlight their facets, safeguarding her characters from any pre-judgment. Since 2006 she has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. She works with oil and mixed media on canvas and on panel.
The photos of the artist with their painting were taken in their art studio.
