Presenting a magnificent example of fine European ceramic art: a hand-painted porcelain cachepot (urn) from the world-renowned Herend manufactory, Hungary. This exquisite piece is a testament to the timeless elegance of Neoclassical design, combined with the unparalleled craftsmanship that has made Herend a favourite of royalty and connoisseurs for centuries.
Design & Artistry:
The urn features the celebrated 'Bouquet de Herend' (BT) pattern, showcasing a vibrant central arrangement of garden flowers, surrounded by delicate, hand-painted floral sprigs. The artistry is exceptionally fine, with a depth of colour and detail that only a master painter can achieve.
Architectural Form:
The vessel boasts a sophisticated flared rim and is elevated by four majestic lion’s claw feet, heavily gilded in 24k gold. These rest upon a substantial square plinth base, creating a powerful silhouette reminiscent of the grand Empire style.
