Lidded vase - Earthenware - Delft lidded vase

Very fine and imposing Dutch lidded vase from the 18th century, made of blue-and-white earthenware. The vase has an elegant baluster-shaped body with a matching lid and knob, and is richly decorated with hand-painted scenes.
The decoration consists of floral motifs in combination with a typical Dutch landscape, in which houses, water features, and figures are depicted. The painting is refined and lively, with beautiful color nuances in cobalt blue. The shoulder and foot are also adorned with floral ornaments, giving the whole a harmonious and balanced character.
