"Décor Réservé" / "Nankin"
The decor of the plates is an exquisite and detailed composition.
Each plate is decorated with a hand-painted image of different species of fish caught in their natural environment, among aquatic plants and stones. The images are realistic, with attention to the detail of the scales and fins.
The periphery of the plates is decorated with a delicate, repeating motif of small leaves and branches in gold.
The edges of the plates are highlighted with an elegant gold edging, which gives the service a finished and luxurious look.
Marked 1940-50.
Décor Réservé: Reserved Decor.
"Nankin" indicates the name of the patented design.
Traditional "Nankin" was in blue and white, this French version uses white and gold.
The inscription "PORCELAINE DE LIMOGES"
confirms the origin.
