Il Gioco dell’Innocenza is a 2020+ oil painting from Italy by Bivaga (born 1972), a hand-signed portrait in the Baroque style, measuring 67 x 53 cm, weight 2 kg, sold direct from the artist.
Description from the seller
In Il Gioco dell’Innocenza, Bivaga explores the fragile boundary between purity and power. The young figure, adorned in deep crimson silk and luminous pearls, holds a porcelain unicorn — a symbol of chastity, myth, and unattainable grace.
Emerging from a field of shadow, her face is illuminated by a tender, golden light that reveals both vulnerability and composure. The contrast between the softness of her flesh and the hardness of the sculpted unicorn introduces a quiet tension: innocence is no longer passive, but consciously held.

About the artist:
Agatino Bivona, known artistically as Bivaga, was born in Biancavilla, Sicily, in 1972 and currently lives and works in Adrano. A pupil and close confidant of master Antonio Sciacca, Bivaga began his artistic journey at a young age and has spent over three decades refining his unmistakable visual language. His hyperrealistic portraits, rich in symbolism and emotional nuance, have been featured in major exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Celebrated in critical publications such as I Grandi Maestri (2009), and reviewed by prominent art critics like Nicola Villari and Alfredo Pasolino, Bivaga’s works are held in private collections across Europe, the United States, and Japan — carrying fragments of Sicilian elegance far beyond its borders.
