Description from the seller
Hazelburn 10 Year Old is an unpeated single malt whisky from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. This whisky is triple-distilled, resulting in a light, fruity, and accessible style. Hazelburn stands out within the Springbank portfolio with its absence of peat and its soft, elegant character.
The whisky is matured for ten years in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. This creates a balanced profile with fruity notes, subtle spices, and a light nuttiness. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered, and with no added color.
Hazelburn is one of three whiskies produced by Springbank, alongside the lightly peated Springbank and the heavily peated Longrow. The name refers to a former distillery in Campbeltown that closed in 1925. Springbank reinstated the name in 1997 as a tribute to the region's rich whisky history.
Flavor Profile
- Nose: Green fruit, citrus, light honey, and vanilla
- Palate: Pear, apple, light spices, nuts, and a hint of oak
- Finish: Soft, fruity, and slightly spicy with a subtle dryness
