Description from the seller
PAUWEN
The scene in the painting PAUWEN takes place both indoors and outdoors. The inspiration was the atmosphere of a winter garden/conservatory.
The free character of the technique that Simone Zacharias uses, combined with the layering she employs, fits well with her favorite subject: the plant world.
Zacharias often bases her artworks on photographs taken during walks and excursions in nature. Close-up shots are processed in the studio into cohesive paintings. With each artwork, the artist tells a new story and tenderly rewrites real events.
A dreamy atmosphere draws the viewer of this canvas into the mysterious world of the peacocks concealed within the painting. There are many interesting details. For this, several techniques were used, resulting in an engaging whole that won't bore.
There is still plenty of room for the viewer to interpret through abstraction. Despite all the playfulness in the techniques and colors, the paint is laid down with confident precision, thanks to the artist's immense reservoir of experience.
The painting is shipped as a rolled canvas. The intention is for it to be stretched onto a new frame at the destination. The canvas has a wide border. The border is 10 cm wide on all four sides.
