Description from the seller

An impressive late‑Victorian brass double inkstand, bursting with ornate detail and real desk‑presence. Perfect as a statement piece for a writing desk, study or library. A substantial cast‑brass desk set with two lidded inkwells, two pen holders on the back gallery and a generous front tray, all decorated in a rich Rococo / Baroque‑revival style with scrolls, flowers and a classical mask. Both original white ceramic ink liners are present and removable for easy cleaning, and the set comes with a period dip pen and steel nibs, adding to the authentic late‑19th‑century feel.

The main features are:

Heavy cast‑brass construction with deep, crisp detailing

Twin hinged inkwells with removable white ceramic liners

Central lidded compartment ideal for nibs, stamps or small stationery

Ornate back gallery with classical mask, side scrolls and pen rests

Broad tray to the front for pens or calling cards

Beautiful mellow patina from age and use

In good decorative condition overall, with age‑related surface wear, small marks and rubbing consistent with honest use, the hinges open and close well and liners have no major chips or cracks.
See pictures, they are part of the description.

Ideal for display on a partners’ desk, roll‑top or writing table as a period prop for film, theatre or photography.

A really original gift for writers, calligraphers or collectors.

This is a statement piece for the right desk with both decorative appeal and functional use.

The stand is 36cm wide.
