Biography
Jürgen Angeler studied communication and media design, which laid the foundation for his artistic path. In 2014, he began painting and participated in his first exhibitions. In 2015, he held his first solo exhibition. Since then, he has continuously developed his technique.
Several exhibitions and workshops have taken place to date. Jürgen Angeler places special emphasis on informal painting, a form of modern art that emerged in the 1940s and 1950s. The interplay of arbitrariness (impulse setting) and chance (drip painting, squeegee transfer) plays a crucial role. At the end of the creative process, a finished painting emerges that expresses the tension built up during the process.
Jürgen Angeler looks back on successful exhibitions in Germany, Italy, and Austria. His paintings are part of collections in several European countries, the USA, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Selection of exhibitions
Participation with two paintings at 'cosmo GRAFIE' in Rome, Italy. Curated by Eva Czerkl.
- Participation in the Elledorado Art Charity at the Schwulen Museum, Berlin (Patroness: Claudia Roth, Vice President of the Bundestag)
Solo exhibition 'Made in Germany' at Kulturei Mainz (Zitadelle), Germany.
