Les heures immobiles, a 40 x 40 cm giclée on canvas by Le Yack (1972), limited edition of 10 numbered prints signed by the artist on both front and back, produced in 2020 or later in France, in the Pop-art style and in perfect condition.
Description from the seller
In this image with an intimate atmosphere, a young woman relaxes in a sea of leaves, between dimmed light and increasing darkness. Her abandoned, almost ethereal body seems to drift between dreams and reality. A brown dress, white tights, and a contrasting collar evoke a distant place in time, a memory, or suspension.
Nature gently envelops the figure, as if the earth itself would wrap it in protective silence. Closed eyes, arms outstretched, symbolize complete surrender, a form of intimate and universal letting go.
This work examines the boundary between rest and disappearance, between returning to oneself and dissolving. It captures the fragile moment, between a moment and eternity.
LeYack orchestrates here a scene worthy of a Hollywood thriller from the 1950s, where every gesture is coordinated, every light directed. The artist draws on cinema, crime fiction, and realist painting to create a work in which the unspoken becomes a spectacle. A palpable tension arises between the two characters, and the viewer becomes a witness to a meeting whose outcome is unknown.
Features of the work:
Signature: Signed manually by the artist on the front and back of the piece.
Technique: Giclée print on canvas, using high-quality pigment ink to faithfully reproduce details and colors.
Edition: Limited to 10 copies, individually numbered.
Dimensions : 40 x 40 cm.
