Rest as a Temporary Truth, an original oil painting on panel in the impressionist style, 70 by 50 cm, hand-signed by the artist, originated in the Netherlands, dated 2026, in excellent condition and sold directly by the artist, a portrait.
Description from the seller
Oil paint on panel 0.6 cm
I enjoy taking portraits of young men and teenagers because at that stage of life something special becomes visible: a vulnerability the world has not yet hardened. Their faces and bodies carry an ambiguity within them — they are not fully formed yet, but full of promise and possibilities. What interests me is precisely that in-between moment: no longer a child, not yet a man. In that transition lies a beauty I want to capture, the openness of what can still become and the fragile sense that this stage lasts only a short time.
All series – from self-portraits and aging bodies to young male boxers, women at sunset, and intimate scenes with cats – can be found on my website, where you can also read more about my background and motivations.

I work exclusively with high-quality materials: professionally prepared linen or smooth panels, and top-quality oil paint rich in pigment. Each piece is created with care and dedication—intended to last a long time, not only in terms of material but also in meaning.
My work is an ode to what slowly disappears: body, silence, attention.
During vacation periods, delays in delivery may occur due to increased workload.
