Born in 1963, JonOne, often referred to as the most 'French' of American artists, is among the top three figures in the French street art scene. Legend has it that JonOne began graffiti at the age of 17 out of love for a girl, and he has been obsessively repeating his own name ever since. JonOne left New York for Paris in 1987 and spent the 1990s and 2000s living in squats. At the time, he had few supporters and little money, but these years of hardship contributed to the JonOne legend and the iconic, charismatic figure he is today.

Since 2008, JonOne’s work has captivated collectors, driven by the street art market boom, which he helped fuel. Fifteen years later, JonOne remains a must-have artist, highly sought after by collectors who enjoy tracking down his older works and different creative periods to enrich their collections.
