The painting comes from the estate of a Freiburg art collector. The painting could use cleaning and minor repairs. Girolamo Induno, occasionally Gerolamo Induno (* December 13, 1827 in Milan; † December 18, 1890 in Milan), was an Italian painter. Induno studied in his hometown at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. During the Risorgimento, he was severely wounded in 1848 during the defense of Rome – Roman Republic (1849) – and was not able to paint again until 1855. The size with frame is 68 x 57 cm. Without frame 53 x 45.5 cm. The frame is included as a gift.
