Antique British Silver Pocket Watch Chain with Medal Fob – Roberts Pinkney – c. 1930s
Original antique British pocket watch chain, dating to the 1930s, complete with a decorative medal fob.
Weight:30g
The chain is made in the traditional Albert / curb-link style, featuring a T-bar, swivel clip, and multiple articulated silver links. Several links are stamped with dates 1934, 1935, 1936, and 1937, suggesting presentation or commemorative additions over several years.
Attached is a substantial silver medal fob, engraved:
“ROBERTS PINKNEY
REGISTERED AT
ST. JOHNS GATE
CLERKENWELL”
The medal also bears the emblem and wording of a Provident Association, a type of mutual benefit or insurance society common in early 20th-century Britain.
