Aldo Mazzi (1937) - Tra Pisa e lo Scolmatore

Aldo Mazzi was born in Livorno in 1937, where he still lives and works today in the studios at 'Casini d’Ardenza'.
Self-taught painter connected to the 'Macchiaiola' and 'Post-Macchiaiola' traditions of Livorno origin.
Always nicknamed 'Cucciolo'.
He has exhibited extensively in various Italian regions and recently, on different dates, also in the USA (San Diego), where he achieved considerable success.
The painting depicts a view of the Arno flood-control channel that empties into the north of Livorno, near Pisa. Very beautiful and distinctive. Stunning colors.
A charming bit of trivia.... Mazzi paints on any piece of wood he can salvage. It comes from my private collection and, without a frame, measures 30x18.
