Louis XV style decorative occasional table from Paris, France, with a beechwood frame and a circular Breccia marble top, 40 cm wide and deep, 82 cm high, dating to 1970–1980, in good condition with minor edge chipping on the marble and small veneer wear.
Description from the seller
Presentation :
Elegant Louis XV-style pedestal table with three curved legs, ideal for displaying a sculpture, a plant, or an art object. The piece is distinguished by its richly worked wooden structure and its removable marble top.
Design details:
• Style: Louis XV / Neoclassical.
• Materials: Solid wood structure (probably beech or walnut) with a warm varnished finish. Circular tabletop in Breccia-type marble with hues of red, beige and ochre.
• Structure: curved feet adorned with volutes and carved motifs. Low circular brace for better stability.
• Markings: Presence of a handwritten mark or initials under the structure (see photos), which may indicate artisanal fabrication or a workshop reference.
Condition (Important for bidders):
The item is in good overall presentation but shows signs of wear that attest to its authenticity:
• Top: A few chips visible along the edge of the marble (see close-up photos).
• Wood: A light superficial crack on the top edge of the wood and some normal wear marks on the varnish.
• Structure: Stable; the fastenings under the lower plate are original.
