Steve Parke, Prince, 1993/2021.

Pigment print, 23.7 x 18.5 cm. With mat 29.7 x 21 cm. On the back with an edition label.

Lumas Edition

Steve Parke is an American photographer, designer and illustrator who gained worldwide fame through his long-standing close collaboration with the musical genius Prince. For more than a decade – especially in the 1990s – Parke was the official art director of Prince's Paisley Park label, accompanying him visually on tours, studio recordings, and private moments.
His impressive photographs portray Prince as a multifaceted icon – between eccentric elegance, vulnerable intimacy, and creative explosion. He is particularly known for Parkes's dreamy, color-rich studio shots, rare backstage photos, and iconic staging from Prince's private archive.
Parkes' photo book "Picturing Prince" is today regarded as the visual standard work on the artist and offers exclusive insights into his world offstage. His works have been exhibited internationally and are in demand by collectors, fans, and art enthusiasts alike.
