Gio Mondelli is a contemporary Italian artist with a versatile, multifaceted approach. His painting research has focused mainly on discovering new techniques, styles, and trends. After an academic career, his works already capture the essence of Symbolist and Surrealist painting. For a brief period, he painted pieces that were more classical and hyperrealistic, but he was not satisfied until he became an Expressionist. Professional art critics value his paintings for having a truly unique perspective on the landscape.
Gio Mondelli was born in 1953, in Italy, where he graduated from LABA Libera Accademia di Belle Arti. His works are in private collections in Belgium, Germany, France and in the United States.
