Early 17th century Latin edition of C. Lulli Ceasaris Commentarii de Bello Civili, on of the most influential historical works of Classical Antiquity.
This edition was printed circa 1600-1620 , most likely in the German speaking area ( Frankfurt am Main), and belongs to the humanist scholarly tradition. Printed in clear Roman type and decorated with Renaissance typografical ornaments, including a decorative headpiece and final ornament.
Bound in a contemporary full vellum binding with handwritten spine title. The copy is complete, including title page and final page with "FINIS".
An attractive and authentic example of early modern printing, suitable for collectors of antiqarian books , classical history , and humanist editions.
