AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Thaddeus of Ted van Eijsden started painting at a young age and, after World War II, was part of the Nieuwe Haagse School. In 1959, he received the Jacob Hartogprijs, and in 1960, the Jacob Marisprijs, both awards from Pulchri Studio in The Hague, where Van Eijsden regularly exhibited as a working member. Van Eijsden's work ranges from realistic art (such as Circus in The Hague) to more abstract pieces (such as Composition).
We find this work in the early period.
The work is in good condition. If you look closely, you will see a slight yellowing of the piece. This is the result of the older varnish layer, which is very common in artworks from this period. Of course, this can be easily removed, after which the original color intensity and depth become optimally visible.
