Ulla Kutter, Gruissan Plage, oil painting, original edition, a seascape in blue, white, beige and grey, signed on the back, in excellent condition and sold with a silver wooden frame; measures 38.5 x 38.5 cm including the frame, produced in Germany and sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
The painting shows Gruissan Plage in Occitania, southern France. A broad beach with very beautiful light, where on the horizon the large bright blue merges with the waves of the Mediterranean. I was fascinated by this wonderful reflection of sunlight on the sea in two different areas: in the foreground the backflowing water, which sparkles and has delicate violet tones as its base color, and behind it the area of the sea where the waves have broken and white foam dominates. The foothills of the Pyrenees in the background appear hazy in airy blue. This small oil painting brings sunshine into every room.
I personally painted this oil painting in 2025 with oil paint on canvas. I then mounted the painting onto a wooden panel and framed it in a silver wooden frame. The signature is on the back.
The picture will be shipped as it is. With the frame, it measures 38.5 × 38.5 cm.
Here are a few pieces of information about me as a painter:
My passion lies in painting with oil paints, as it brings a great deal of light and vitality. I paint modern subjects using a technique that is inspired by that of the old Dutch masters. I paint both urban motifs and the sea.
I perceive my surroundings and turn them into art.
I was born in 1960 in Hamburg, and after two semesters at the University of Applied Sciences for Design I switched to training and work in the social sector. Today I work both as a painter and as a social worker.
I have spent my entire life painting with different media, and since 2004 with oil paint. In 2011 I began to exhibit as well. I am currently painting in a studio in Altona, on Ruhrstraße.
