Description from the seller
Platinum–diamond–pearl brooch, Art Deco transitional period, circa 1920
Elegant antique platinum brooch, crafted in the transitional period from the Belle Époque to early Art Deco (c. 1915–1925).
The slender bar brooch is set with a central pearl of about 6 mm in diameter, flanked by a total of 18 diamonds in a historic design.
Two larger diamonds (each about 4 mm in diameter) as well as several smaller point-cut diamonds are set in a fine millegriffé setting, typical of the high-quality platinum work of this era.
The design is characterized by clear symmetry, fine openwork and artisanal precision. The condition is good for its age, with a beautiful patina.
