Biography
Jesse Rodriguez, alias "Sonic", was born in 1961; he grew up in New York. He lives and works in the Bronx.

In 1970s New York, the graffiti world is exploding, but while street artists more often depict letters, Sonic brings a new vision and a new way of graffiti. In addition to his bright colors, the letters are now accompanied by human figures.

His unique style is today one of the most famous in the city, his works stem from prolific labor and ongoing innovative research. Thanks to photographic capture, his art, initially ephemeral, has gained lasting recognition.

Sonic's works step out of the street-only frame and enter the worlds of fashion or the video game industry. In addition to galleries, they are visible in various places around the world, from Amsterdam to Singapore, including Germany, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Belgium, France, and New York.
