Description from the seller
A large, exceptionally decorative parade plate from the State Porcelain Manufactory Meissen, made in the famous Rococo form “Neuer Ausschnitt,” designed by Johann Joachim Kändler.
The plate stands out with a bold apple-green ground, intricately modeled and richly gilded Rococo cartouches, and finely hand-painted flower bouquets and spray blooms.
The three-dimensional gilding is especially lavishly executed and gives the piece an extraordinary sense of depth.
On the underside is the underglaze-blue Meissen swords mark, complemented by the factory and decoration numbers, typical for high-quality pieces from the 20th century.
A representative decorative display piece / cabinet piece, ideal for collectors of fine Meissen porcelain or as an eye-catching feature in a classic interior.
