Refined didactic poem with a Georgic theme in four cantos, which treats the breeding and usefulness of the silkworms. As per the dedication, the work is by the Veronese Zaccaria Betti (1732–1788), a literatus particularly fond of agriculture and the rural world. Good copy, fresh. Contemporary binding in full ivory-colored stiff leather; defect to the title-label on the spine. Very large margins and elegant type. Private ownership stamp on the frontispiece. Delicate and refined copperplate engravings for the surrounding ornaments drawn by Francesco Lorenzi and the work of Domenico Cunego: vignette on the front, initials, headpieces and tailpieces.
