Description from the seller
Catalan rural landscape
Oil on canvas depicting a rural Mediterranean landscape, characterized by houses with tile roofs, hillside vegetation, and a wide and bright view of the countryside. The composition is built through a textured and confident brushstroke, with a balanced use of color that conveys the warm light and the atmosphere typical of the Catalan landscape.
The work belongs to the tradition of Catalan landscape painting of the mid-20th century, where direct observation of the territory and rural life combines with a modern painterly sensibility, attentive to the structure of the composition and to color rendering more than to descriptive detail. The result is a painting with a strong visual presence, capable of conveying authenticity and a sense of place.
