Herend - Vase - Rothschild Bird - Porcelain

Herend, Hungary: splendid and rare timeless lidded vase in hand-painted porcelain in the Rothchild Bird model - RO design.
The pattern features at the center birds on branches with dangling jewels on one side, surrounded by butterflies and colorful insects. In good condition but the lid has the fish tail broken, as shown in the photo which are part of the description. Dimensions: the vase: height 12.5 cm - base 9 cm - belly 17 cm - opening 10.3 cm / the lid: overall height 7 cm - diameter 11.5 cm.
It is said that this model was first created in 1860 for Baroness Rothschild, who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Viennese residence, and it was found several days later by a gardener who saw birds playing with it on a tree.
