Description from the seller
In this work I move away from literalness in favor of emotion and texture. The inspiration was the structure of the trunk of an old pine in its upper part, where the bark is thinner, but not as a botanical study, rather as a record of the passage of time and the action of the elements. 'Pine Bark' is a composition in which tones of copper, ochre, deep bronze, and gold interpenetrate, creating a multilayered, almost three-dimensional plane.
I focused on capturing the vertical rhythm of nature—the cracks, incrustations, and roughness that make every tree unique. The play of light on the matte and satin patches of paint makes the painting come alive as the day changes.
The dominance of earthy, copper, and golden hues instantly warms the interior, adding coziness while preserving a modern character.
Thanks to its form, the painting will fit well both in a raw loft (evoking the colors of copper and rust) and in a classic study or living room based on natural materials (wood, stone, linen).
This is not a flat painting. The use of layered acrylic applications creates a rich texture that begs to be touched. In a large format of 70x100 cm, it becomes the wall's central decorative focal point.
Nature reimagined for the modern era: a perfect choice for people who love the forest but are looking for modern, non-literal, and elegant art.
A painting with painted edges, ready to hang.
