AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Slender earthenware vase produced by Alain Blanchard (1947-2025) in the 1970s at La Borne (Centre region, a major ceramics hub near Sancerre in France). Trained at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Nantes, Alain Blanchard turned to ceramics from the 1970s and was active until the end of his days.
Brutalist appearance for the simplicity of form and turned in rough stoneware, the ashen blue satin glaze reveals deliberate irregularities with a few white or transparent spots on the exterior relief of the vase, as well as an engraved fern that runs the full height of the vase. The interior of the vase is also glazed in this same ashen blue.
Height: 32 cm
Neck width: 6.5 cm
Base width: 12.5 cm
As the photos show, the vase is signed at the base, directly in the unfired clay.
Unique piece.

Fast and very protected shipping.
