The photograph is part of the shots taken by Vaccaro for a photographic feature on the father of organic architecture, commissioned in 1957 by the magazine Look. The reporter, then thirty-five years old, spent 15 days at the Taliesin estate (Wisconsin), where Wright, born in 1867, resided and trained his 'disciples' according to the rules and practices of his architecture. The final result was a beautiful collection of nearly 3,000 frames, captured from the daily life of the 'master'.
